During the total solar eclipse (partial in Sacramento) on 20 May 2012, this rare phenomenon occurred. The was no water around nor were the any vehicles parked nearby. The only thing anyone could come up with for thiis effect was that, when the eclipse was in totality, the light from the sun was so intense that it caught something in the street and reflected back onto the house. The resulting effect was amazing.
