While walking through the redwood forest in the Jack Armstrong National Park outside of Guerneville, California, it was amazing to see so much of the forest floor covered in moss. Every twist and turn along the path provided triggers of the imagination, such as in this photo. At first glance, this moss-covered redwood stump conjured up something from the distant past. The first thing to come to mind was that it looked like a dinosaur. That first image has stuck so much so that, every time I see this photo, that is what comes to mind. Power of suggestion sure is a strong thing indeed.
