The bell pepper is a cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum. Cultivars of the plant produce fruits in different colors, including red, yellow, orange, green, chocolate/brown, vanilla/white, and purple. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent pepper varieties as “sweet peppers”
This photo is of the inside of a red bell pepper with a LED light shining through the bottom to illuminate the inside. The camera lens was placed just inside the opening at the top of the pepper. The result was this abstracted red bell pepper.
